Yea I hear ya, it took me almost a year of constantly looking to find the right deal for me
And yes I kept the stock th350, didnt even take it out the car, just put a jack under it unbolted it from the 307 then dropped the 4.8 in and bolted it up to the th350. If I do change transmissions it will be to put a 4l80 in it as the car will be getting a turbo (eventually) and neither the th350 or 4l60 will live very long in a 4000lbs car with 5-600rwhp

IMHO thats too much, plus someone else has already monkey'd with it and you cant be sure what/how things were done to it, or if everything is there
