MC in History Museum + Re-Launch
A friend on one of my heart-surgery-related message boards sent me information about a 1978 Monte Carlo in the lobby of the Chicago History Museum, and I posted it on the 3rd gen MC (1978, 1979, 1980) Forum...

It's kinda neat to see a Monte Carlo in a museum...!
Regarding the 3rd gen MC (1978, 1979, 1980) Forum...

...I re-launched it QUIETLY, November 2010.
With Sean's death after the 2008 Monte Carlo Nationals, third generation Monte Carlos "lost" their unique "voice" on the web and, to my knowledge, became the only MC generation without its own active/running message board or group.
In August 2010, I finally took the time to investigate what it would take to switch ownership of the board from Sean to myself ... and completed that process around late September 2010. Then, around late October 2010, I tweaked the board and started sharing personal notices that it was open once again.
Since I haven't publicly announced the re-launch until now, the forum hasn't seen much traffic ... and maybe it won't ever see much traffic. I am somewhat apprehensive about this venture for MANY reasons, but, for now, each MC generation has its own message board/group once again.

If I ever own a Monte, it would probably be a 78-79 model. Not sure what it is, but they catch my attention. An 80 Turbo Monte would be cool too, but never been a big fan of the front end on that year.

I'm not a big fan of the quad headlights on the 1980 MC either ... it's like they were toying with what to do for the next generation, but decided to try it on the 3rd gen body style...lol.
BUT ... I think the Turbo "cool" factor would negate the front end concerns...!
