73-77 Chevelle/EC/Sprint RH Lap Duct Assembly BLUE
I found this RH lap duct in a '75 Malibu while I was down in FL at an old yard getting another column for my car. I picked it up, even though I don't need it, because it is in exceptional condition. These are almost always missing mounting tabs and broken out where the steel strap secures them against the heater box. See pics for details...hairline crack in two tabs and a second screw hole drilled where LH duct slips over.
I have $30 in this, so I would need that plus shipping if anyone wants it. There may have also been a good black one in the '73 Malibu my column came out of, but I didn't have time to pull it. These are hard to find intact and pricey
on eBay.
Let me know.

In your second post, The second picture down, On the square hole. Is there supposed to be a metal clip or strap that clips into the hole to secure the vent assy to the heater box?
If so, Does someone have a pic of what it looks like? Thanks.

There is a stamped steel strap that clips into that hole and secures this duct against the heater box. The other end of the strap is secured to the firewall, with one of the heater box mounting studs I believe. This hole is often blown out at the bottom due to the stress that the strap applies...combined with age and people not being careful with it. I can send some pics later of when I had mine apart, if you want.
Are you in need of this duct?

Thank you for the reply. If you don't mind a pic or 2. I thought something was missing and probably have the strap somewhere. I used some foam weatherstrip to help seal it up.
I am not in need of the duct. I have at least one spare, but thanks anyways.
