I am looking for a nice set of 1975 Malibu headlight bezels. I believe they were also used on 1976 and 1977 base models. I'd like to find some in good condition without any corrosion or pitting.

These are the pics.  Very rare to find where at least one doesn't have damage. There is a R and a Left.  Interesting as to why they couldn't be the same. From a manufacturing stand point.

My guess would be that it probably made more sense from a design/manufacturing standpoint to simply mirror-flip the design for the adjustable headlight bucket from L to R and make two different trim rings as opposed to designing a whole new bucket assembly for the other side just so they could re-use the same ring. Since we're talking pre-CAD days, it took a lot more time and effort to design stuff.

Of course. These had adjustment screws on the side of the bucket. Makes perfect sense.
